Ben earned his undergraduate degree in political science with an emphasis in international security and development from Westmont College. After two years of work as a paralegal at the Sanger Law Firm in Santa Barbara doing civil litigation and criminal defense, Ben continued his education at Pepperdine University in Malibu, where he obtained his Juris Doctor with a certification in Criminal Legal Practice. While at Pepperdine Law, Ben further honed his legal research and writing skills as a staff editor for the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship, and the Law (JBEL). This training, combined with his real-world experience, equipped Ben with the tools to effectively navigate the complexities of criminal law.
