Colorado Springs Car Crash Proves Fatal

A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Colorado Springs  near Gallery Road and Powers Boulevard. Officials say the driver was the only person in the car when it struck a utility box, knocking out power in the area. Police investigating the scene believe the driver may have been drinking.

Best Friends Killed in Colorado Crash

Two young men were killed in a Colorado Springs car accident when their Honda Civic was involved in a head-on collision. The fatal car crash occurred on Austin Bluffs Parkway near Union Boulevard in Colorado Springs. Officials say the Honda struck a patch of ice, crossed into oncoming traffic, and struck a Jeep Liberty. The Jeep then hit a white van.

Pedestrian Injured in Colorado Springs Parking Lot Accident

A man was seriously injured in a Colorado Springs car accident that happened in a parking lot. According to a Fox 21 news report, the pedestrian accident happened in a South Nevada Avenue parking lot near Las Vegas Street in Colorado Springs. Officials say the man was walking across the parking lot when the vehicle struck him. He was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle was cited for careless driving resulting in bodily injury.

Three Injured, One Arrested, In Colorado Springs Vehicle Accident

Four people in their 20s were injured when a pickup truck rolled over in Colorado Springs last month. According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, two female passengers were treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital. A 22 year old male passenger was thrown from the truck and seriously injured. The 26 year old male driver, who was also thrown from the truck, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and vehicular assault.

Motorcyclist Killed On Colorado Interstate 25

Motorcycle AccidentAccording Fox 21 News, a 33 year old motorcyclist was killed last month when he attempted to pass between two trucks on Colorado Interstate 25. While the accident remains under investigation, Colorado State Troopers don’t believe drugs or alcohol were involved.

Pedestrian Accident Kills Two in Westminster

A double tragedy happened last week in suburban Westminster, Colorado. According to a news report on Denver’s 9News, the accident happened around 8:45 p.m. on September 3, when a man walking across Federal Boulevard was hit by a truck. The woman driving the truck stopped and went to check on the man. Sadly, another car struck and killed the woman. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities don’t suspect alcohol or speeding to be a factor in the incident. It was simply an unfortunate accident.

Colorado Children and Pool Safety

Tragedy struck a Colorado family recently. According to a story on Denver’s Fox 31, a four year old girl drowned in a pool at a private residence in Windsor a few days ago. The girl was attending a birthday party at the time.

With the arrival of summer’s heat comes the returning call for child swimming pool safety. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), children ages one to four have the highest rate of drowning, with the majority of deaths happening in home swimming pools. These shocking figures and the sad story above make pool safety essential to all families.
