It seems almost impossible that just two weeks ago we announced the finalists for the 2020 New Heights Scholarship! Since then we have been hard at work reading and re-reading the final essays, scratching our heads and trying to figure out who among them would receive the $1,000 scholarship. It was an incredibly difficult task. Every finalist brought their own flair, their own passion, to the table. However, after a long night of debating, we at The Bussey Law Firm, P.C. have made our decision.
We hope you will all join us in congratulating Anne F. from Kaizer, OR! Good job, Anne, you are now the winner of the 2020 New Heights Scholarship.
Anne’s essay moved us with its wonderful prose, passion for her future, and dedication to helping others. We are not artists ourselves, otherwise we wouldn’t have gone into law, but we’re sure Anne is someone to keep an eye on when it comes to animation. Feel free to read Anne’s essay yourself, as well as the past winners’ essays, so that you can see her dedication and hunger for yourself. We hope that you never lose that hunger and you continue to chase your dreams. Life will be hard at times, but we’re sure you can make it, if you never stop pushing yourself to take that next great step.
Thank you to everyone who applied, especially our incredible finalists. You all showed a great deal of drive and compassion, and we are not likely to forget your essays anytime soon! While you did not win today, we are sure you will all go on to better and brighter things. We hope you will continue to strive for the best, whatever the best may be for you.
If you are still a student next year, we hope that you will apply again. Few great things are achieved on the very first try. For further scholarship updates, keep an eye on our blog and our Facebook page. We at The Bussey Law Firm, P.C. are already looking forward to the next batch of applications. Stay safe and stay healthy and see you next year.
